Cookie Policy

1. What This Policy Covers

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Alongside cookies, websites can also use local storage, which keeps information in your browser until it is removed. UK PECR treats both the same way: storing or reading information on your device needs your consent unless it is strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for. In practice we set no cookies at all, only local storage.

This policy covers our marketing website (datapasa.com) and our customer panel (cloud.datapasa.com). Where the two behave differently, we say so.

The short version: neither site uses analytics or advertising technology of any kind. Everything listed below is either strictly necessary or asks your permission first.

2. Marketing Website

Strictly necessary

These entries are essential for the website to work and do not require your consent. All of them are first party and stored in your browser's local storage, not as cookies. They never leave your device.

NamePurposeDuration
langYour selected interface languageUntil you clear it
themeLight or dark appearanceUntil you clear it
currencyThe currency prices are shown inUntil you clear it
datapasa_consentRecords the choice you made in the cookie banner, so we do not ask again and can prove what you agreed toUntil you clear it

Analytics

We do not use analytics on this website. There is no Google Analytics, no Yandex Metrica, and no other measurement or session recording tool. No third party receives information about the pages you visit.

Referral attribution, consent required

NamePurposeDuration
datapasa_refRemembers the partner code from a referral link so the partner is credited if you sign up later30 days

If you do not consent to this, the partner code is kept in memory for the current visit only. A signup you start straight from the referral link is still attributed correctly, it simply is not remembered after you close the tab.

Advertising

We do not use advertising, retargeting, or social media tracking on this website.

3. Customer Panel

The panel at cloud.datapasa.com sets no cookies at all and contains no analytics or advertising technology. It uses three strictly necessary local storage entries, all first party.

NamePurposeDuration
access_tokenKeeps you signed in between requests15 minutes
refresh_tokenRenews your session without asking for the password again30 days
fingerprint_sent_atTimestamp that stops our fraud check from repeating more than once every 6 hoursUntil you clear it

Signed-in customers are also subject to a device and network check used to prevent fraud and abuse of our infrastructure. That check is not advertising technology and is not used to profile you commercially. It is described in full in section 3 of our Privacy Policy.

4. Giving and Withdrawing Consent

The first time you visit datapasa.com you are asked to choose. Nothing optional runs before you answer, and refusing is exactly as easy as accepting.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Turning referral attribution off takes effect immediately and deletes the stored partner code.

5. Managing Storage in Your Browser

You can also control cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View what a site has stored on your device and delete it individually or all at once.
  • Block storage from specific websites or all websites.
  • Be alerted when a website attempts to store something.

Clearing local storage for datapasa.com resets your language, theme and currency preferences, and clears your recorded choice, so you will be asked again on your next visit. Clearing it for cloud.datapasa.com signs you out.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if we change what we use. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. If we add anything that needs consent, we will ask you again rather than rely on a choice you made earlier.
