How to delete a VPS and stop billing

Hourly charges continue while a server exists, even if it is stopped. To stop paying for a server you no longer need, delete it.

Before you delete

• Copy your data. Deletion removes the disk for good, and we cannot restore it.
• Update DNS records that point to the server IP. The address returns to the pool and may later be given to another customer.

Delete the server

1. Sign in to cloud.datapasa.com and open Cloud Servers.
2. Click Delete next to the server.
3. Read the warning in the Delete server? dialog and confirm with Delete.

The status changes to Deleting, and the server disappears from the list when the process is finished.

Deletion is immediate

The server is deleted right away. The current hour is not refunded and the server does not keep running until the paid hour ends.

After deletion

• Hourly charges for the server stop.
• Money left on your balance stays there for your next server, or you can request a refund.
• The server stops counting toward your server limit.

Servers deleted for an unpaid balance
