RAM is the number that matters most. A vanilla server for a few friends runs comfortably on 2 GB, which is what the Micro plan gives you. Every player loads chunks around them, so memory use grows with the player count and with how far apart people explore. Plugins and mods add their own memory on top of that.
For a Paper server with a handful of plugins and 10 to 20 players, 4 GB on the Small plan is a sensible start. Modpacks are a different story: large Forge or Fabric packs can use several gigabytes before anyone joins, so pick Medium with 8 GB. You can move to a bigger plan later, and our step by step guide explains how to choose.
Vanilla is the plain game from Mojang and the simplest way to play with friends. Paper is a faster server build that also runs Bukkit and Spigot plugins, which is why most community servers use it. You switch between versions and server types with one click in the panel, so trying a new release takes a minute.
Fabric and Forge modpacks are installed by uploading the server files through the file manager or over FTP. The panel gives you a live console to watch the startup log, which is where you spot a missing mod or a wrong Java version. This hosting is for Minecraft Java Edition. Bedrock servers for consoles and phones are not offered.
Pay by the hour for play sessions
Billing is hourly from a prepaid balance. The first hour is charged when you order, then every hour after that. If your group plays on weekends, a Medium server costs about 1.6 cents per hour, so a long Saturday session costs well under a dollar. Keep the server running all month and the price matches the monthly figure shown.
To stop paying you delete the server. Deleting a game server removes its files immediately, so download your world folder through the file manager or FTP before you delete it. Next time, order a new server and upload the world again. Many groups do exactly this for events or short survival seasons.
Latency for players in Europe
Our game servers are in Falkenstein, Germany. That location suits players in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Czechia and most of central and western Europe, who usually get a responsive connection. Players further away, for example in North America or Asia, can still join, but they will feel more delay when breaking blocks or fighting mobs.
Keep in mind that we do not advertise DDoS protection for game servers. For a private server with friends this rarely matters. If you run a public server with a big player list, plan for that risk yourself. Cheats, DDoS tools and mining software are not allowed on game servers.

Plans start at $1.97 per month for Micro with 2 GB RAM. Small with 4 GB costs $4.75 and Medium with 8 GB costs $11.68. You are billed by the hour, so shorter use costs less.
Yes. Upload Fabric or Forge server files through the file manager or FTP and start the server from the panel. Large modpacks need more memory, so the Medium plan with 8 GB RAM is the safer choice.
No. Our Minecraft servers run Java Edition only. Players on consoles and phones use Bedrock, which cannot join a Java server without extra plugins you would have to set up yourself.
Yes. The panel has one click version switching. Back up your world first, because moving to a newer version updates the world files and going back to an older version is not always possible.
Deleting a game server removes all its files right away and they cannot be recovered. Download the world folder through the file manager or FTP before you delete the server.
We do not advertise DDoS protection for game servers. The plans suit private servers for friends and small communities. If you expect attacks on a large public server, take that into account.
